IBD on IMDb

It costs around $700 (Expedia.com 09/2009) to fly to Nice next May and report from the Cannes Film Festival - green screens start at $20 (Google.com 09/2009). Needless to say, cost-cutting dictates our coverage of Cannes to be from this side of the Atlantic, at least our premier coverage. Small FYI, I'm Walter - Felipe's confidant and blog-buddy, soon to be dubbed by the online community bluddies (hopefully not) or budlogs (even worse). Background is math, stat, and econ. With the triple major under my belt - yes, I'm the business version of the basketball triple threat - I started working in the once glorified, now doomed investment banking profession (IBD).

My name is Felipe Diaz and, as stated before, I'm definitely not in Cannes. Most of the time, I'm in Chicago, but the beginning of this story finds me in Hoboken, NJ, visiting my associate, Walter (someone you will get to know very well) on my way to Massachusetts. You could say the motive for this East Coast tour is personal, citing that my mother in MA is about to have a baby and that Walter and I have been partying like in the good old college days (those ended roughly ten weeks ago). That is all true. But I prefer to think I’m here on business.
