Bregudgingly Recognized DJ Steve Porter (who, by the way, is playing here in Chicago at Lollapalooza on August 7) has released a second instalment of Press Hop, aptly titled Press Hop 2. It features some great moments from this past year's sports press conferences (Tiger's apology! Lebron putting a knife through Cleveland's heart! FavreFavreFavre!) as well as some old past gems. I also notice that, in contrast to Press Hop 1's overal playful nature, this one's more scathing of its subjects. But maybe that's just the impression I had. Video after the jump. This year's sports press conferences definitely called for a Press Hop sequel

A (slight, temporary) victory for Fair Use!
Field Reporter Sebastian made me aware of a Library of Congress ruling earlier this week that took some steps to alleviate the Digital Millenium Copyright Act's death grip over potential creators and innovators in our country. The press is covering this ruling mainly because it makes it legal for you to jailbreak your iPhone, but I'm more drawn to the part that allows people to use DVD ripping technology if it is used for fair uses, such as taking scenes of a movie for a documentary or a commentary piece.
