Begrudging Recognitions: Gareth Edwards

This is a segment in which we feature certain people who are in (roughly) our situation and excel in what we would like to do, so we wish them to be eaten by giant Lovecraftian monste- congratulate them and in the most humble phrases express our sincerest gratitude for their inspiring work.

I'll keep this recognition brief, as it comes with a full on behind-the-scenes featurette explaining why this guy rules. In short: Gareth Edwards made a monster movie (aptly titled Monsters) for a budget of $15,000. He shot it himself in Mexico with a sound man and two actors. It was featured at the Cannes festival.
